He must have been married to Costa Rican for more than 2 years, living in Costa Rican territory during this same marriage period. The person may be divorced at this time. These people should not perform examente of the Ministry of Education.
Costa Rican residence for more than 7 years
He must have been a legal resident in Costa Rica for more than 5 years, Latin American or 7 non-Latin American, student permission and all categories account for this purpose. These people must take an exam from the Ministry of Education, people over 65 are exempt from this exam.
Permanence in Costa Rica for more than 20 years
People who have lived in Costa Rica, with or without residence for more than 20 years in the country, may apply. They must have sufficient proof of this permanence and two witnesses. The Ministry of Education's examination must be carried out.
